A Record of Service — Giving Back to Our Community

For Gary Kapner, community service has never been about holding office. It has been about showing up, helping others, and giving back.

Gary has been a member of the New Providence Lions Club since 2010 and served as its president. Through the Lions, he has worked alongside fellow volunteers to support families, community organizations, first responders, scholarships, youth programs, and humanitarian causes.

His commitment to service was recognized with the Melvin Jones Fellowship, the Lions’ highest form of recognition for humanitarian service. Gary is proud to be a Melvin Jones Fellow and to be part of an organization dedicated to helping others.

That same philosophy has guided Gary throughout his years of civic involvement — from the Lions Club and Boy Scouts to municipal government and community organizations.

Service isn’t something you talk about. It’s something you do.
